Spring fest to kick off in Tehran

Iranian artists will celebrate Nowruz, with its spring celebration opening at the turn of the Iranian calendar year.

The festival of “Tehran, City of Art” will organize shows of graphic designs, photographs, paintings, illustrations and handmade ceramic works at all the galleries affiliated to the center.

Music bands from around the nation will provide concerts amid the celebration at the forum’s yard. Danub Music Band led by guitarist Ashkan Mokhtarband will too be giving concerts. Honar-o-Andisheh, a troupe by chief Kermat Rudsaz, will be performing a number of comedian plays at the forum. Rudsaz will also arrange a kheimeh shab-bazi (traditional puppet show), and Sara Abbaspur and Mohamamdreza Majuni will put on a naqqali (Iranian dramatic story-telling) performance.

The festival is slated to be running until March 31.
